GX200 BIOS UPGRADE
running xp how do i change into ms-dos mode to install bios update bgx20005.exe thanks

Put them into the A: Drive
Right click on the floppy drive and click format.
Check the box that says make MSDOS startup diskette.
Then Double click on the BGXXXXX.EXE program within windows ON THE MACHINE THAT YOU ARE UPDATING and it will create a disk that you boot from.
The BG Means it creates a bootable disk.
If it says CRC error or bad disk DO NOT CLICK UPDATE ANYWAY.
That means it has read errors from the disk.
Bios updates must be done from DOS DISKS.

As per my other response, do a "dir" at the A: prompt to find the bios file name.
