GX520 Rough Sound Windows XP
I'm streaming audio and whilst it works ok the sound is terribly rough and the volume controls have to be down low to avoid too much distortion.
It's almost as if I'm using the wrong jack socket but audio is coming in through the rear blue line in socket, and going back out through the ethernet cable.
Checked the soundmax drivers are installed ok. Any ideas?

Ethernet is Digital and Audio is Analog and there is no possibility of connection as you describe.
Choppy / Distorted Audio has to do with bandwidth of streaming, the encoding aka 128k, 256k, etc Ram, and the power or lack thereof of the cpu.
XP is End of Life End of support.
