Has anyone taken delivery of the New Studio XPS 435/8000/9000?

My 435T has finally shipped! (24" monitor, nothing else special) Three separate tracking #'s, FedEx delivery date of this Friday - somebody pinch me.

I honestly hope that this means everyone else's is almost out the door.  I'll post again after 1st boot.

and my 435MT from 2/10 is still in production...this is unreal.  Nobody in customer service can tell me why others who ordered same/similar systems have already received theirs.  I am literally speechless.

Did you have a noticable difference in performance after you installed the 12gb?

Just placed a order and the inital estimated ship date while I was building it was 4/29/2009. Once I placed the order it changed to 05/14/2009. Has anyone else experienced this??

I picked a smaller hardrive and will purchase the additonal 1.5TB locally for about half the price

Without going back and reading several hundred posts, most of us have ordered and are continually getting delayed shipping notices.

It seems like this is the way businesses run nowadays with this so called "bad economy"

My guess is the credit has tightened up and suppliers may be demanding payment upon receipt of product.

Yes I did after hearing someone said it stopped the fan noise on startup.  It did not make any difference on mine after doing so however.  Again I have to state this is like 10s on bootup, I could care less about it really.  I generally don't mess with Bios updates unless there is something useful in them if everything is working fine.  Updating the bios was extremely easy, able to just double-click the exe from Windows, not the hassle it use to be in the old days.

my dell 435t has shipped. Ioredered on 4/03/09 and it shipped today. It is so obvious you guys do not reprsent every dell customer.
