Help me Upgrade my Dell Dimension e520
Hey everyone.
So I am looking to upgrade my Dell Dimension E520 which is a few years old (I think?). I don't wanna buy a new computer so I will list what I will upgrade. Could you please confirm that it will all work or show me better parts to use.

The Crucial 1gb memory should be fine, but for maximum performance the memory needs to be installed in matched pairs.
The processor in your link, is not e520 compatible, only 65 nm processors with 800 or 1066 mhz FSB will work with the e520.
Note: Before upgrading the processor, check that you have BIOS version 2.2.1 [or higher], when additional CPU support was added.
The ASUS EN9800GT/DI/1GD3 GF 9800 GT PCIe x16 video card should be fine.
The E520 does not use Dell proprietary power supplies, you can install most standard ATX power supplies with either a 24-pin or 20+4-pin main motherboard power connector. As the E520 has an open back panel, a power supply with or without the on/off switch can be installed.
You should be able to buy a compatible power supply from either a local or online computer store.
Note: You will need a power supply, with four SATA power connectors.
