Help on Requirements for a new All-In-Wonder Radeon X1900 card

My friend wants to buy me a real good video card I was looking at ATI 100-714800 All-In-Wonder Radeon X1900 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 VIVO PCI Express x16 Video Card. I heard it needs it needs to have 30Amps on a 12V rail PSU. I'm new at this. Can my Dell XPS600 support this video card? I have 4GB of memory so far. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

your XPS600 will power it just fine.

as it is the x1900 AIW is a clocked down X1900 series with 256mb, to allow for a smaller cooler and single-slot, unlike the x1900xt and x1900xtx which are 2 slot cards clocked higher and with 512mb.

and this is what ATI recommends power wise:

  • 450-Watt power supply or greater, 30 Amps on 12 volt rail recommended (assumes fully loaded system)
  •
