Help with Dimension 4600 graphics card upgrade

I'm currently looking at a video card with these specs below, would it work in my PC?  I was told that the system will only accept up to 256mb.  Is this true?  Can my Dimension 4600 handle the 512MB?

dude do check older systems used to have an agp slot that is different from the later released revised agp slot...  do check ur motherboard specs...

then buy the card...

no dude i never heard that system can handle onyl 256 mb card like that... oh i understand it can be ur inbuilt agp i mean integrated agp card.... u can share upto 256mb max... t

nothing will happen... first check the type of agp slot in the board and then go for the update....

if the agp slot is right.. u can even install 1gB graphic card...

The 7600 is a weak card; you'd be better off with a more modern GPU like the ATI 4650.
