i am thinking of buying a dell optiplex 780 DT and i want a good card for it i was thinking about the gt 1030 but that is a 2 slot so will it fit in if no what do you think is the next best card that will fit in? i am looking to play games like league of legends, csgo, dark souls 1 and possibly Overwatch.

Start with something newer than that -- Overwatch needs an i3 minimum, meaning the Core 2 in the 780 isn't going to suit you.
Also make sure you get the tower system - not the smaller form factors.

I believe that the Performance Copper Heatsink is the same for Dimension E520 E521 Optiplex GX620 755 745, 380, 755, 760, 780 MT.
The cheap Aluminum version is HR004, J7109, FW209, W5685, W6177
HEATSINK D9729 SHROUD J9761 is the High end Copper part.
Overwatch has some high requirements
