Hi I'm new,and would like to know about upgrades...

Hi guys, this is my first post here.I tried to browse around the other posts for questions and answers but did not find a definitive answer for my question... I'm trying to find out if my dell computer can handle "any" power supply or do dell pc's require a special kind of power supply? I'm currently interested in the 450 watts or up PSU's.

And my computer specs are: DELL Inspiron 530 (purchased on september 2007)

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33 Ghz, FSB 1333

2 GB RAM, 300 watt PSU, 320 GB hard disk

Hope someone can help. Thanks.

Hi purecraze, you will have no problems putting an ATX type PSU into that case to upgrade your PSU. SEE HERE for some PSU's, there is more to the left of the screen.

Awsome, thanks... but the one you showed me was out of stock at the time I checked. I noticed in their company website the PSU said  "designed specifically for Dell computer owners". Which, admitedly, confused me a bit. Does that mean that only PSU's that say "designed specifically for Dell" will work with the inspiron 530 mobo?
