High speed network card for Inspiron 530s

We recently got high speed internet (300 Mbps) in our area. The technician from Time Warner said that our network adapter is not capable of receiving that high speed. I need to upgrade the network card for my Inspiron 530s but no one at Dell that I have spoken to, knows what network card I should get. He said that Dell doesn't support my computer any longer.  Does anyone here know what I should buy?  Please help!!!

Can't recommend a specific card, but you'll want a PCI-e x1 card to fit in the available PCI-e slot on the motherboard. You also have PCI slot(s) but that's older tech and might harder to find a 300 mbps PCI card.

Manual doesn't say the 530S requires a half-height card, but you should confirm that.

As to which card to buy, first you have to decide if you want it to support WiFi for a home network, to have Bluetooth for BT devices, etc. So you need to do some homework to decide what you want before you go shopping.
