IDE to SATA
Hello,
I just recieved my Vostro 430 and I wanted to make sure that if I buy an IDE to SATA adapter, Vostro 430 will be able to read and write correctly to an old IDE drive installed internally. I do not want to buy an enclosure and have an external drive but instead have 2 internal drives. Also in the BIOS, what setting should the drives be on? I do not want them as a RAID.
Thanks for all the help.

If the IDE to SATA adaptor works correctly, the Vostro 430 should recognize the IDE hard drive, allowing it to read and write, as a secondary hard drive.
After installing, check in the System Setup, that the SATA port it's connected to, is enabled [on] and the drive is recognized.
