In My Photos pic is too large to copy to disk?

Hello. My pics are in My Photos and I successfully copied several of these pics to a disk in order to send as attachments. One particular pic gives me a error msg that pic is too large to copy onto disk. Disk is empty. How do I make this pic smaller, like the others in My Photo file so I can copy this one too? What did I do different when I added this pic to My Photos.

Thanks.

If you saved the file as .BMP try .JPG

The reply suggesting to convert the file to a compressed format such as, .jpg will help. The images can also be re-sized in most graphics editors. The confusing part of your post is, why would you have to save the images to a disk before sending them as an attachment in the first place. Why can you simply not attach the file from your, "My Pictures" (or, other) folder?

Bob,

That's what I want to do, but how do you go about changing it to a jpg? Is it complicated and do you need some sort of program to do this?

Thanks so much.
