Incompatible Disply Adapter

I am trying to run dual monitors on my Inspiron 530.

I bought and installed an ATI Radeon R9000 64M DDR PCI card.

When I boot-up, I get the message "Incompatible Disply Adapter has been disabled.  At least one display adapter on the system has been disabled because its driver is not compatile with the driver for the VGA adapter."  Also, the VGA connector that came with the computer does not work and only one of the two adapters on the new card works, and Windows only shows one monitor when I go to change video settings.

Any advice would be appreciated.  Do I need a different card ?

Thanks,

Jim

Dear Acura66,

Not quite sure the "incompatible" wording you get before windows or after windows but i assume it's when windows load the default driver.  First of all believe originally u are using onboard video.  Try this few step:

1) Check your video card, I believe it only support either Analog or digital but not dual monitor at the same time. Either the white color connector or blue color connector. White digital and blue for analog.

2) If you are sure then reset the bios

3) Disable/reinstall the video driver.
