Inspiron 530 video card upgrade question
I currently have an Inspiron 530/Core 2 Quad with a 350 watt power supply and was looking to upgrade the video card. I have the ability to purchase one of the following, which would work best?

Thanks in advance.

The 350W unit has the one PCIe 6-pin power cable so you should have no issues.

I suspect the fan on the XFX is noisy, while the one on the Sapphire is whisper-quiet (Arctic Cooling Accelero L2).
I had a Sapphire 4670 with the XFX's fan, and it was noisy as a vacuum cleaner. I ended up replacing the fan at considerable expense with a Zalman aftermarket unit.

Definitely go with the HD 6670 or better yet go with the HD 6750 if better gaming is part of your reason for the upgrade.

Thanks for the information, I'll look into a Sapphire branded card. Would a 350 watt ps be able to run the HD 6750 with no issues?

Probably, especially if it has at least one PCIe power connector.

Thanks for the responses, that's what I'll go with.
