Inspiron 545 4yrs old DVD interface?
The HP DVD/CD unit in my 4 yr old Inspiron 545 needs replacing (the door gets stuck and won't open) - I believe it has an IDE ATA interface.....can I replace it with a new unit which has a SATA interface?

Yes. In fact, I don't see an ATA port on the motherboard, so the current drive may be SATA.
