Inspiron 570 CPU compatibilitie issues
Hi, I recently purchased an AMD Phenom II X6 1055T, my motherboard model is 04GJJT
After installing the chip I noticed some issues, first thing is how long the computer takes to boot up, it sits on the Inspiron logo for approx 3-4 minutes before booting up.
When I brought up the control panel I see that the computer does indeed recognize that it is an AMD CPU and that it does have 6 cores, but lists the CPU as "AMD Processor unknown" After searching around for hours I gathered that the issue was with the BIOS and that it recommended I install the BIOS update from Dell.
It has the most recent BIOS listed as march 24th 2010 titled A01, but for some reason my Bios reads 1/25/10 even after installing newest one.
So I'm not sure if I've correctly flashed the BIOS.
I was also told that the processor may simply be too new and that possibly waiting until Dell releases a new version that recognizes the Phenom II
So I was hoping for some advice and a simple explanation if possible.
You'll have to forgive me here, I'm still somewhat new when it comes to upgrading computer hardware.

Any chance of an update or other input? I wanted to post asking about which chips a 570 can be upgraded with. I have the dual-core now.
