Inspiron 620MT PSU

Hi Guys,
I've just ordered myself a 620MT and will be looking in the future to upgrade the PSU to put a better graphics card in it than what it currently has

I have read in a previous post that I need a PSU with 4 SATA Power Ports,  I am Hoping to upgrade to this Graphics Card
http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_8800_gt_us.html
It requires a 400W Power Supply

I was abit of a PC tech back in the day but only with 10year + computers so I dont really know what I'm looking for when it comes to PSU and Graphics Cards. What I mean by that is I have no clue on PSU, and have some knowledge about graphics cards but just dont know if it would fit in the Inspiron 620MT as I am new to mini towers.

Comp Specs:

Intel® Core™ i5-2320 Processor (3.0GHz, 6MB)
Windows 7 64Bit Home Edition
8192MB Dual Channel DDR3 [2x4096] Memory
NVIDIA® GeForce GT 530 1GB DDR3 Graphics Card

I also read that it comes with a 300W power supply. I'm from the UK so if anyone could help me find a PSU that would fit this computer nicely and is between 400W - 600W or explain to me exactly what I should be looking for, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.

I will be using the computer for casual gaming but mostly for browsing the internet. The reason why I was thinking of upgrading is because I have heard this graphics card currently in the system is reasonably slow, I think the person described it as just basically integrated graphics. and I've had bad experiences from integrated graphics,

My current system is a P4 1.8 Ghz with a 256MB Graphics card and 1GB RAM so as you can see im making quite a big jump.

The 8800GT is an old video card.  You would be "downgrading" the video if you replaced the GT530 with an 8800GT.  I don't know what you are planning on using the 620 for, but it's not a "gaming PC".

The Power supply is a standard ATX style so you have many options.

A Radeon HD 6670 will work fine with the stock 305W psu on the MINI TOWER.  You will not be happy if you got the 620S SLIM Desktop Model with 260W power supply and low profile slots.

If you plan on gaming then You may want to upgrade the power supply to an Antec HCG 620W or larger power supply and an EVGA Geforce GTX560 TI video card.

This has been done by myself and others and works fine.

FULL SIZE 12 inch long Cards DO NOT FIT in the 620 so some of the High end cards are not useable.

Hi Speedstop,

I made sure I didnt buy the Slim model because I just dont like Slim computers, I didnt wanna buy the Mini Tower either, but it seems everything is a minitower unless you build it yourself. Can you perhaps provide me with a link to the PSU just so I make sure I get the right one.

Thanks In Advance.
