Install XP on Dimension 8300

I got a Dell Dmnsn8300, when I first powered it on it went to Welcome screen in XP, I noticed it was part of Domain password protected, and it could of been part of a RAID config. So I had someone delete and format all the good stuff to it, got it back and I put XP cd and tried to boot,but I can't. Was the BIOS settings changed for RAID or should I load Default settings for BIOS?  BIOS ver.A05   Pentium4-3.00ghz    Level 2 Cache.    Just wandering-  Should use a Reinstall CD-XP SP2-from a friend
