Always include version of Windows.

Read this at the Microsoft forum.

I'd start with clearing BIOS (eg, last post over there):

  1. Reboot and immediately press F2 to open BIOS setup
  2. Copy down all current settings
  3. Power off, unplug
  4. Press/hold power button for ~15 sec
  5. Open case and remove motherboard battery
  6. Press/hold power button for ~30 sec
  7. Reinstall the battery
  8. Close case and reboot

Why copy down all BIOS settings? Shouldn't the BIOS reset to default settings after battery reinstall?

Is it fixed?

Always good to copy the settings before resetting BIOS to the defaults, because the defaults may not be the right configuration for your system.

Eg, the default SATA Mode setting might be RAID AutoDetect/ATA but you need AHCI because SATA drivers are installed, etc...
