Lost sound using Audigy2 card

My sound was working just fine until something happened? I'm not sure whay happened, but I think my son plugged in a headset into the motherboard card that I wasn't using.
 
Anyway, I have lost my sound. How can I fix this issue? Should I delete my sound card from device manager?

Well, just in case if you haven't you should check your sound settings in Control Panel make sure the Audigy is the default sound device. Also check the driver to make sure there are no conflicts. If that still doesn't work I would download and install the latest drivers from Creative.

To disable your on-board sound Restart your PC and when the Dell Logo splash screen appears
press the key to enter system setup. Look for Audio Controller to enable or disable.

I checked the driver, no conflicts. The following are listed in device manager under sound, video game controllers:

It looks like your Audigy2 is not detected in Device Manager.

I deleted the Creative Audigy Audio Processor (WDM) from device manager screen. Rebooted computer, the sound card was detected by XP. End of problem.
