Memory Upgrade for Dimension 4400
The manual states the max memory for the Dim 4400 to be 1 gig. It has two memory slots that hold 512mb each. Has anyone put 1gig dimm in each slot for a total of 2 gig. The machine takes pc2100 pc2700 or pc3200. I appreciate your feedback.

The limit is indeed 1G as 2x512. 1G DIMMs won't work.

Thanks for your help, I sure don't know how to get around this new dell site. It took me a while to post my question and to even signon, The system is so slow as compared to the old forum and very difficult to navigate. Thanks again
