Mic not picking up sound | XPS 7800 Desktop

I have a Creative Fatality Headset/Mic that I use to record voice audio with, but when I plug in the headset and try to record my voice, it doesn't get picked up. (The mic gets recognized) The mic works flawlessly with my old laptop as well as my USB mic work well with my computer. (XPS 8700) I just can't find a way to setup the voice level.

Is there any way I can adjust the volumes/sounds?
