Need AGP440.sys for Dimension 2400

Hi!

My Dimension 2400 hangs when booting in safe mode at .../drivers/AGP440.sys.  This computer currently serves as my file/web server, so while I do have the data backed up, it will be a pain reinstalling the OS and other server-centric programs.  I had the latest drivers prior to the crash.  I was hoping someone would be able to send me the file AGP440.sys from another Dimension 2400.  I would then be able to take my hard drive out and then using it as a slave in another tower be able to manually replace it.  I found place where I can buy it, but I rather not spend the money.  Please reply if you think you can help.

Thank you!

I'd try the suggestions here first.   The file itself may not be the problem:

But if you have an XP SP2 disk, the agp440.sys file should be on it.  I found it in the i386\sp2.cab folder - just expand/extract it from the disk into system32\drivers using the recovery console or a command prompt.   Found the command syntax HERE :

expand d:\i386\sp2.cab /f:agp440.sys %systemroot%\System32\Drivers\
