Need help/info on connecting 6800 Nvidia pci/e to monitor!

The back of my video card only has 2 dvi connectors, which has me confused, because the user guides say it should have one dvi, one vga and an S Vid connector! My monitor only has the vga.. but, I have read that you can use an adapter and still connect the monitor that way~ and I can do that, but wanted to clarify these other points first...

Do I have the right video card since it doesn't match up with what the user guide says?

If it turns out that it is the right card, does it matter which of the two dvi's I hook the adapter up to?
