No permormance increase with 9800gt SLI

My system is as follows

Dell XPS 630i

E8400

6GB Ram

Ok so when i bought the computer it only came with one 9800gt, so i bought another XFX 9800gt both with the same memory and speeds.  I attached the sli bridge and enabled sli in the nvidia control panel.  In every game i have tried (Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Call of Duty 4, and Far Cry 2) there is no performance increase.  I have the newest drivers (180.48) and i have tried each card separately, and they both work perfectly. What can i do?

yeah you are definitely doing something wrong.  I have seen at least 10frame increase in crysis with sli enabled.  I have dual 9800gt in my 630 and there is a noticeable increase in performance.

One thing i do suggest is that you overclock you CPU.  Not sure what the stock speed of the E8400 is but it could be bottlenecking the video.

Also, i like to use nhancer to load profiles for games.  These are usually optimized settings vs. what the nvidia drivers load.

TIP: never use nvidia ....ATi /AMD is the way 2 go
