Norton's Systemsworks/Windows TEMP File

I've received lots of great advice from you people, so I'll keep the questions coming! First, I have Norton's Systemsworks, as well as Norton't Internet Security. Has anyone had any problems with this software on the Dimension 8100s?
Also, I heard that by deleting the files in the Windows TEMP folder, that may cause the system to speed up a little. Will deleting these hurt anything?

They can be deleted as well without any problems.

Thank you for your reply! I was also wondering about the files in the C:\Windows\TEMP folder. Do I really need those as well?

I find that Systemworks memory checker indicates memory errors. Have you tried that on your machine without problems? How much memory is ther ein your machine? I'm at 512.

Roy(?), thanks for your reply! I haven't loaded it on yet, but I have 256MB. Do you have Systemsworks, and if do, have you had any problems with it?

I have been told today that Systemworks has a "known bug" that connot test more meory than 256, so you should be OK (I have 512 and get testing errors.

I've not been impressed with the 2001 product. Is seems to hve been hurried to market and works quirkily as compared to its older brother, but I still think it's the best one out there as compared to McAfee, etc.

Good Luck

Come to think of it, that happened to me on my last PC. I had 384MB, and it didn't read the one module, which was brand new. Thanks for the info...I'm going to install it.
