OS Change

Printer issues... I have windows 10 and now I receive messages that "operating system cannot support the Dell V510 series printer". How do I change OS to windows 7? Thanks

There are home and Pro versions windows.  You did not say which one you have.

You also did not say what Dell model you have.

There is no guarantee that 6 year old printers will have Windows 10 drivers EVER.

Dell's V515w fails to install drivers/programs on Windows 8.

Solution, when installing the driver/application program from Dell,

Save The Windows 7 driver to your hard drive,

Right click on the executable downloaded,

Select Properties from dropdown menu

Select Compatibility Tab, and check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for" box

Select "Windows 7"

Select OK.

Click on the exe file to install the driver. 

This may work for other Windows 7 based drivers as well.

 

This means you must use Windows 7 drivers.
