Optiplex 7020 3 Monitors/TVs

Hi,

Just using built in Intel HD4400. Currently have:

Passive DP to HDMI (working)

VGA to VGA (working)

I also have an active DP to HDMI adapter (starTech), but when I use that I can't get any display at all through it, even when used on its own. Windows Display Properties shows that it has been detected, but can't actually do anything with it (shows in control panel with a black background instead of the usual blue).

So before I spend any more money, will getting one more passive DP to HDMI allow all three TVs to work simultaneously? Or do I need two different types(???) of active adapter?

Passive Display port Adapters don't work.  Thats why the active ones are $50 or more each.

The passive one I've got does work. It's the active one that doesn't.

Not all cards support all adapters with all monitors on all ports.

More than 2 active adapters requires a powered Hub.

What you are asking for is not supported.

Nor do all cards support 3 or 4 or 6 monitors.

This is why ATI certify's Specific Adapters.

To enable more than two displays, or multiple displays from a single output, additional hardware such as DisplayPort-ready monitors or DisplayPort 1.2 MST-enabled hubs may be required. Maximum two active adapters supported. See www.amd.com/eyefinityfaq for full details. Note the powered MST HUB below.

Hi,

It's not an ATI card, it's the built in Intel HD4400

The display port limitations still apply.
