Optiplex 980 SFF, video card upgrade
I have a Dell Optiplex 980 Small Form Factor. I need to know what video card I can use in this computer. I would do like to use some graphics software like a Autocad, Sketchup etc...

Hi JRGA,
You can see the list of cards that Dell originally shipped with the 980 on page 16 here:
i.dell.com/.../optiplex-980-tech-guide.pdf
Other cards will work but were never tested by Dell, so therefore cannot be guaranteed to work. Other users on the forum may be able to suggest further options.

SFF models have VERY little room for cards. USFF systems have NO SLOTS and therefore WONT WORK.
Autocad Requires a Quadro Card.
