PC doesn't detect monitor
After doing an upgrade from original dvd that came with my system my monitor is not being detected by pc. I have tried using the monitor installation cd, but it comes up with Please connect your monitor. Also have tried to download driver but to no avail.

Hi ,
Assist me with some more information so that I can understand the problem better,
*Which is the update that was installed on the system?
*Which is the operating system installed on the machine?
*When the system fails to detect the monitor does it display any error message?
And forward the service tag of the system via private so that I can check the system specifications.
