Perc H310 no Hard Drive detected or disk controller not supported

Hi everyone.

I got 2 dell precision t7600 with the same problem when i reboot the system and do the diagnostic. It tell me " No hard drive detected or disk controller not supported ".

I try to call dell but they do not help me..........

The only thing that they said is reinstall windows but when  i try the WS do not recognize any HD so i cannot reinstall the OS.

I try check all the HD connection, Changing HD but... nothing happen.

someone got the same problem or know the solution?

Thanks.

Hi,

As i sad I have already replace it and nothing change. And the same problem with 2 different WS ?

The WS have mirror raid so 4 HD that are faulty?

And an other thing is that if i let the 2 WS start it's works fine. But for  the second one that I boughtless than a month ago ) i  need a windows reinstallation because it completly block when i plug an usb pendrive.I try several different USB pendrive in all the usb slot. Same problem

And of course i want that the other WS recognize my HD because if i need i want to reistall my operating system with no problem. I think Should be normal that the system recognize the HD.

I think that maybe is a problem of your drivers or somthing like this.

I see that i'm not the only one with this really annoying problem: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/desktop/f/3514/t/19508873.aspx

Thanks for the reply.

Hi altravista,

It seems like the hard drive is faulty you may have to replace it.

Hi Alessandro,

Please download and install the storage controller driver during OS reinstallation and check if it fixes the issue. Please enter your service tag # on the link below, select the OS, then download the storage controller driver listed from storage controller onto the system and install it.

Please let me know if this helps.

Hi Alessandro,

Please let us know if the issue is fixed by installing the storage controller during the operating system reinstallation.

Hi ravi,

as i told you nothing change installing the driver during Installation. Windows do not find an HD for the installation. And your startup diagnostic do not recognize it as before.

I don't know what can i do.

You Require F6 drivers for windows.

Windows does not support the controller natively.

You have to install IN ATA mode not AHCI mode then add drivers.

This package provides the driver for Intel C600 SCU Storage Controller and is supported on Precision T series running the following Windows Operating system Windows: Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 (32/64-bit).

http://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER00575801M/8/DRVR_SAS_PERC_MSM-DV6JF_setup_ZPE.exe

F6 install.  Otherwise you get STOP: 0x0000007B (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)

Systems Precision T3600 ,T5600 , T7600

Hi, Let me know if i understand.

I need to restart and set in bios ATA mode for the HD.

Restart and install the driver ?

What is F6 install ?

Thanks Alessandro

STOP 0x0000007B INACCESSABLE_BOOT_DEVICE

This issue occurs if the disk driver in Windows 7 or Windows Vista is disabled. This driver must be enabled before you change the SATA/RAID mode of the boot drive.
