Power Button Indicator Light

Over the last few times of boot up my 4700, after I first press the power button, the button blinks amber.  Looking at the manual it says:

IF THE POWER LIGHT IS BLINKING AMBER

The computer is receiving electrical power, but an internal power problem might exist.

Leaving it alone the light eventually, after a few minutes, turns green and system boots normally.

Any ideas why this is happening and what's the cure.

thanks for any advice.

A blinking amber power LED, usually means the power supply is receiving the correct input voltage, but is having an output failure, first try opening the case and check all the power and data cables are properly connected, by removing and replacing all the power connectors

No difference, then try replacing the power supply.

The 4700 has an Mitac case with an open back panel, therefore most standard generic stock ATX, PSU's, with or without the on/off switch, two SATA power connectors and either a 24-pin or 20+4-pin ATX motherboard connector, can be installed.

This can be purchased from most local or online computer stores.
