Precision 690 will Not Boot
I have just built precision 690, specs are follows :-
MY171 motherboard
750w PSU
2 x 2gb DDR2 FB Dimms (installed in slots 1 &2)
Xeon 5405 (installed in socket 0)
pcie X1950
When i turn on the computer the Diagnostic Lights flash then stay on a solid green 3 & 4, nothing is displayed on the monitor.
As far as i can see everything looks to be connected, all fans are working - does anyone have any ideas ?
Thanks
Martyn

Is it beeping at you at this point?
How long until those two lights stay on? (does it happen as soon as you press the power button?)
And what is your power button light doing? Is it blinking and if it is, what color?
Solid green is listed in that link, but it is accompanied buy info on what the power button light is doing as well.

I think it was due to a faulty PSU, i have not upgraded to a 1000w version and it boots fine
Although there is also a possibilty that the xeon 5405 is not compatible, its currently running 2 x 5120's while i await an call back from Dell regarding the 5405
