Radeon X1550 & Dimension 4550 installation Problem
I recently aquired a Dimension 4550 and I took the Radeon X1550 out of my Dimension 4400. And I installed it into the 4550, but the computer will not bootup, WHY? What do I need to do, to get it to work? Thanks for any help........John

Maybe it's not the video card that is causing the problem? What other indications are you getting? e.g. beep codes, or the diagnostic lights on the rear of the motherboard. :HERE is the troubleshooting section of the 4550.
Is this system supposed to work? did it have a video card and you just changed it?

The doagnostic code with B and D are yellow with the "Video controller failed to initialize or respond" message. Does this mean that my power supply is to small?

I doubt that it's a power supply, as you would be getting different diagnostic codes.
Do you have a different video card you can install to try?
