Recognition of a 3 TB Hard Drive within XPS 8700 Desktop Computer

I am about to install a 3TB HD into drive bay 2 (under the primary HD) of my XPS 8700.  Once installed with data/power cables connected, do I have to do anything with the BIOS or Windows 10 software settings to recognize the new drive, or is it recognized automatically?  If so, what needs to be done. Please advise.
