Remove PERC card and install Windows 7
I have purchased a T3600 that came with PERC H310 card, but I prefer not to use RAID. I removed the card and have an SSD and a HDD plugged into the system board.
When I run the Diagnostics on from F12, it tells me there is no hard drive, I presume because the inboard controller needs a driver, so I install this: Chipset_Driver_RCWTJ_WN32_9.2.3.1023_A00.EXE
but Win 7, Server 2008 R2 and Ubuntu cannot find either drive.

F6 Mass storage drivers are required. AHCI requires F6 drivers at install to "SEE" the drives. It may also say "A required CD/DVD driver device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now."
