Reseting BIOS settings when battery is pulled out

I have DELL Studio 1555 and in BIOS set Password on boot, Firt Function Keys (no multimedia) and after pulling out battery, and plug power source from network, this settings will lost.

It´s a bug of BIOS or what ?
