Revving Fan
I have an Inspiron 580 tower and a few days ago my fan started revving every 5-6 seconds constantly. I cleaned out the dust bunnies and it stopped for a day but it is now back revving again. I checked the BIOS and I have the latest version. Anything else I need to check? Thanks.

Does it rev only in Windows or in the BIOS setup also?
