S-Video warning message permanently displayed

When playing a DVD, the system settings were changed to display the message "No S-Video input signal." It comes up as soon the system is started and the 2"x4" message window covers the upper right hand corner of the screen. Since it shows up before Windows is started, it's not a program setting.

I checked my bios settings and they appear to be in order. My system is Windows Media on an XPS-410 desktop. I had an hour-long session with on-line chat but could not get a fix.

Any ideas?

First, take a look in the Digital Life forum, I think they will be able to help you better than the Server forum.

Just an idea though, the last time I saw S-Video on the screen it was something that came from the monitor, not the computer.  Check the manual for your monitor or try a regular CRT if you have one available to see if the S-Video is still there.
