P.S. The Samsung drivers are downloadable this morning from their web site. In order to download you will need to use the full model number of your player. With the number you have listed in your posting there should be one more character listed on the end of it.

I have no problem downloading the driver for the YP-MT6X. I saw your other posting in the
Dimension - External Peripheral forum and I suspect your problem isn't with the downloading of the file from the web site, but rather its installation on your system. If that is correct then you will definately need adminstrator rights in Windows XP to install it. I'm new to Windows XP as well so don't feel bad. If you continue to have driver installation problems then consider posting in the
Software - Windows XP forum. Someone there can best explain how best to sign in as adminstrator and do the driver update. You can

Thanks for the help. I am strongly suspecting a 'user' error here! I do have myself and another person set up on XP and since I didn't know about this issue when I unpacked the new Dell on Saturday - I probably need to change some settings.

Thanks for the response - the MP3 complete model is YP-MT6X and I have tried to download the driver from the Samsung site - and no luck there either.
I'm new to Windows XP - - is that possibly the problem? There are 2 users on my system and we 'I think' are both set up as Administrators.
