Screen images
For some reason my screen images, icons, pages views, etc., are squashed down, or flattened. Also my desktop icons have been scattered all over my screen.
I'm using a Dimension 3000 computer with Windows XP Home Edition. Everything works OK, but the looks are all wrong.

The screen ratio is wrong for your monitor. Set resolution to 1024 X 768 and see what that does.

Thanks for your kind reply to my call for help. I set my screen resolution to 1024 x 768, and that did help somewhat. It made my icons the right size, however, they are still squat, or squashed down, making the not look natural. It is the same with my screen saver images, web pages and general appearance. Any further suggestions you may have woud be appreciated.

Hi DickC,
You didn't mention the model of your monitor, so it was just a random guess as to whether 1024x768 would work.

Ok, then that is the correct resolution for your monitor. If you use a desktop image that has a different aspect ratio, it's not going to look quite right.
