Simple PCI Communications Controller Driver

I have a brand new OptiPlex 9010 All-in-one computer that was reloaded with Windows 7 Enterprise 32 bit. I downloaded all of the drivers from Dell Support and I still have one conflict in Device Manager. It says Simple PCI Communications Controller. The location says PCI bus 0, device 22, function 0. I can't find the driver to get rid of this anywhere. The PCI communications controller may be simple but this solution sure isn't! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have downloaded all of the drivers listed under Chipset and I am still getting the error in Device Manager. In comparing this machine to another that has not been reloaded I noticed that under system devices in Device manger that this problem machine does not list the Intel Management Engine Interface or the System Management Device that are included on the factory machine. Although, that machine has Windows 7 64 bit on it.

Hi Woltmar,

Please download and install all the drivers listed under Chipset. Click on the link http://dell.to/ZU2f5L -> type the service of the computer -> choose the operating system -> Expand Chipset to download and install the drivers.

Hope this helps.

Hi Woltmar,

Try to install Intel AMT WS Management Driver from the resource disc. This should take care of the problem.

I don't have the resource disk and I can't find it on the Dell site even though it says it should be under the chipset section for the drivers. This machine was unboxed in a different area and then delivered out to me.

The drivers solved the issue, but doing them in the correct order solved some other issues I had as well. Many thanks SpeedStep.
