Startup

Recently I unchecked some programs on a list (not sure where it came from) after I got a message the computer would work faster if I reduced the number. Now my touchpad doesn't work. I've tried the key and also the hardware check says the touch pad is working. Can you advise what I need to do? Did I uncheck something needed at start-up?

Hi Stumpedsr,

Can you provide the model of your Dell and operating system? Have you tried opening MSCONFIG and enabling all the items you unchecked?

Dell Inspirion M5030 OS Windows 7 Home Premium No I haven't tried configuring....I had a list that had a bunch of boxes that were checked and I unchecked them. How do I access that to see if I can recognize anything that I might have unchecked??
