Studio Hybrid shared video RAM

Hi,

The Intel GMA X3100 uses shared video RAM (that is, it steals RAM from the main SDRAM and uses it for the graphics display).

Nowhere within dell.com I could find this amount, however, I've seen reports that it has 334Mb shared RAM:  http://asia.cnet.com/reviews/pcperipherals/printerfriendly.htm?AT=43840702p

I thought, since the RAM is shared, that you could actually configure in the BIOS how much RAM you want to give to the graphics adapter.

However, at least in my machine, even when I have a video ram setting in the BIOS configuration, it seems to be fixed at 8Mb.

Does anyone know of a method to increase this? Is CNET report wrong? or the machines going to Asia have wild differences in configurations in relation to the ones going to the States (or, in my case, to Latin America)?

TIA
