Studio XPS 7100 Factory Back-up restore failed

A few months ago, my computer started to freeze randomly. I ran diagnostics and the hard drive test were failing with error code 2000-0146. I did an emergency back-up and ordered a new hard drive from DELL. When I received it, I installed it and did a "F8" upon start-up.

I accesed the repair menu and attempted to restore from a factory back-up I made when I purchased the system back in 2010. Everything was working fine with the first disk. The app asked for the second disk which I inserted but the app kept answering that this was the wrong disk. After trying multiple times, I ended up shutting off the computer and tried to restart the process.

That did not work as upon reboot, the computer does not entered the advanced options menu when I press F8, actually, it does not do anything when I press F8.

Any suggestions are welcome!!!
