U2414H, GTX 1050 Ti, AMD Ryzen 5, VLC/Media player issue

Hi All,

Was working fantastically, and then bizarrely out of the blue I had some sort of Nvidia error. Anyway, since this, when I edit video in Adobe Premiere everything looks great. When I watch videos outside of premiere, the image is extremely dark and over saturated. I have troubleshooted the video files which play fine on other laptops/iPad etc. I have went into the Nvidia control panel and had a look about for anything amiss, and reset all the defaults, likewise with color collaboration on Windows 7.

Anyone come across this? Debating whether it is a software/driver problem or something wrong with the monitor. However because it has correct color etc in Premiere, I'm guessing it rules out the hardware. Any ideas?

Many thanks in advance

Hi causewaymedia,

Thanks for posting.

From your decription, it sounds like a software issue.  Have you tried unloading the last software program you installed?  Perhaps a media player?

You should post your computer system model so that the experts here can better assist.  Thanks.
