U2414H Goes Black on Full Screen Games
For whatever reason, some games that launch in full screen mode cause my monitor to go black. I can hear the sound of the game. I can hear my mouse rolling over menu keys but my monitor is black.
I have a pair of U2414H's I have my games play on monitor #2. Many games have no problem but other games do as described. These are games from EA and other developers.
I have to unplug monitor 2 which forces the game back to monitor 1 then I can close the game... or play it if I choose.. however. I have 2 monitors for reason (and I spent more than 500 on these monitors) Id like to know why this happens. It is so frustrating!
I am running an i7-7700 with a GTX1080 video card and 16gb ram with an SSD as my system drive.. I have the very latest nVidia drivers. I alwyas keep t hem up to date. This has been happening to me for a long time now,.
Please help. My monitors are more than a year old so dell will not support me without paying them.

* Exactly how are the two U2414H connected to the 1080 using what ports and cables?
* Swap the monitors on the 1080 ports so #2 U2414H is now #1 U2414H. Does the issue now appear on the new #2 U2414H (which was previously #1) ?

One is connected via HDMI and one DVI The card only has one of each.. the other two ports on the card are displayport ports I believe.
I have tried switching them and around with no difference.

* Turn the computer and both U2414H off
* Disconnect the HDMI and DVI cables from both the video card and both U2414H
* Test both U2414H on the primary GTX 1080 DP out port =
GTX 1080 DP out port --> U2414H DP to mDP cable --> #1 U2414H mDP in port (DP 1.2 Enable) (It is in the Menu Display settings)
#1 U2414H DP out port --> U2414H DP to mDP cable --> #2 U2414H mDP in port (DP 1.2 Disable)
