USB 2.0

My device mananger lists 4 USB ports, 1 of them as Enhanced 2.0.

How can I tell which port is the 2.0 port?

Give us your system specs so we can try to answer your questions..Also are you sure you are not confusing the 2.0 host controller for a usb port?..

I have just discovered that my usb 2.0 ports are not fully usb 1.1 compatable. My new Thrustmaster firestorm dual power 3 controller would not be detected on any of my ports. When I installed a old pci-usb 1.1 card it detected the controller right away. I wonder if Dell has a driver fix for this?

I am not very technical...

Had problems with Dimension 8250 to a Nikon digital cmaera USB connection. Having tried various options finally managed to get it working by installing http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;822603 via Windows Update as a recommended update.

Prior to that I had installed http://support.dell.com/us/en/kb/document.asp?DN=1072515 as my machine has VIA chipset but it did not help. Does your machine has a USB VIA controller?

I am not sure the problem was fixed by Microsoft update alone or combination of both Dell/VIA and MS.

Hope this helps!
