USB 3.0 for Studio XPS 435 MT, motherboard 0R849J
Greetings!
Can I install a card that allows me to use USB 3.0 in my desktop? That would be nice, and I also would appreciate any recommendations/tips you can give me.
Thanks!
Charley

Yes, you can install a PCIe x1 USB 3.0 card, providing you have an open slot for the card.
To install a USB 3.0 card, you need a Molex 4-pin power connector.

Are the answers provided to the initial question still valid? I would like to add USB 3.0 ports to my otherwise-excellent XPS 435MT. Also, it's not clear to me from the links to the cards as well as to the link to the other forum post (which contains links to other cards) as to whether any internal cables are required. Appreciate your help! :)
Also, are all of the factory ports on the XPS 435MT the same (i.e., all 1.1 or all 2.0)? In my experience, some of the ports are faster than others; haven't been able to determine why.
