Unable to Start WinXP
My Dell 4400 is currently having problems while attempting to start Windows XP Home. It freezes at the "Starting Windows" Screen. I have tried to start in Safe Mode but the same problems occurs, I am not able to enter into windows to do a system restore. Any Suggestions???

Hi,
Did you add any new hardware or software just before this problem?

I had a problem with that a long time ago. Try pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete.
See if it lets you log into Windows.
I am not suggesting this to you, but I formatted my hard drive before I looked around to try to get a fix to the problem. I can get impatient. I wish I had skiped that.

Have you tried starting using Last Known Good Configuration?
If you are unable to boot to Windows is any mode, you should be able to recover with a Repair Reinstall. The directions for this are here.
