Unsupported video configuration detected
Hi,
I got a free computer from my work. It was completely erased, nothing on it. Bought the OS 10 and I am trying to install it but I get stopped by a message about unsupported video configuration. The model is optiplex 990. This is the message I get: " this computer has an add-in graphics card, but the monitor cable is not lugged into the integrated video connector. To attach the monitor cable to the add-in graphics cards:
Shut down computer
Plug monitor cable into add in graphics card connector ( this may require a video adapter or video adapter cable
Turn on the computer.
I have all cables, only one monitor, what is the issue here? Can anyone help?

Just as the message said. Your PC has an add-in video card. Plug your monitor into it.

(HERE - Depends on exactly which of the 4 slots your add-in video card is in.)

Remove any cards from the slots its LFH and you dont have the connector.
You CANNOT have a video card in the X16 slot and use the onboard vga connector.
You cannot use the Built onto the system VGA connector when there is a card in the X16 Video slot.
System halted!
